Christmas: Commercialized Or Not Commercialized?

Am I the only person, or so it might seem, that thinks Christmas, the time when our savior Christ was born, is being way too commercialized?

Every year, there are just thousands and thousands of commercials for everything under the dog gone sun, but it seems as though people forget what Christmas actually means. Am I the only one that sees this?

No I agree and as an atheist the supposedly true message of Christmas, is lost on me however I am very much aware of the poverty which prevents parents from showering their children with gifts, and the sense of isolation and desperation that many feel in the season of goodwill..personally I detest Xmas..

As much as I hate to admit it, so do I. It's truly become nothing more than another day for me. It's lost it's sense of meaning, in some ways, but I still keep the meaning of it in my heart.

Christmas could be for children, but in some ways it's not. However, yes, it is buy, buy, buy, and nothing more.

We refuse to bow to the enormous pressure of putting yourself in debt just to please the majority of the population..we buy what we can afford, for our family a few friends and that is it.However I can see us in a few years time entering the nightmare of being dragged round crowded toy stores, by very excited children, screaming I want!....

Every year, and year after year, it's all the same. Chidlren always screaming "I want, I want", and then the different types of media that just hype the hell out of everything. It's unreal!
